What is clip art?

I have fond memories from my childhood, collecting together old newspapers, magazines and catalogues from our coffee table, then hurrying to my room with scissors and glue, ready to deconstruct the colour filled pages and make them my own!

These publications were full of big bright images and fancy fonts that I would meticulously cut out and use in my own creations. Little did I know that this is the literal definition of clip art.
Clip art refers to pre-made graphics that can be used to illustrate across an unlimited amount of mediums.

That’s what we do here at Create the Cut. Each graphic is hand painted in the physical world and then meticulously converted into a digital format. Just like we did as little ones, many today use our clip art for an incredible amount of design tasks. From wedding invites to greeting cards, iPad skins to fabric, our clip art is only limited by your imagination!
